Borough Ordinances & Resolutions for October 2013

The following Ordinance was Adopted during the month of October 2013.

Ordinance 2013-27:  An Ordinance repealing the BID.  This ordinance repeals the previously created Business Improvement District.

The following Ordinance was Continued until November 4, 2013.

Ordinance 2013-28:  An Ordinance amending Ordinance 2013-17, an Ordinance of the Borough of Palmyra requiring the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy upon the sale of any residential property, and Ordinance 2013-25, which amended same.  This ordinance will amend the noted ordinances to allow for comments offered by local Real Estate Professionals to be incorporated in the final version.  Ordinance 2013-17 is on indefinite hold.

The following Resolutions were Approved during the month of October 2013.  Please note that more routine matters were conducted as well.

Resolution 2013-216, appointing Mindie Weiner as full-time Lead Tax Clerk at a salary of $28,400.

Resolution 2013-217, appointing Doretha Jackson as part-time Tax Clerk at an hourly rate of $14.50.

Resolution 2013-218, authorizing final payment to Janney Electrical Contractor for Fire Company generator.

Resolution 2013-219, authorizing the cancellation of taxes for a totally disabled veteran, Block 134, Lot 12.3.

Resolution 2013-225, appointing Crossing Guards and Substitute Crossing Guards (see link).

Resolution 2013-226, appointing Scott Snow as Patrolman for the Palmyra Police Department.

Resolution 2013-227, appointing Jeremy Jankowski as Patrolman for the Palmyra Police Department.

Resolution 2013-230, amending juvenile curfew to 10:00 PM for October 26, 2013.

Resolution 2013-231, awarding contract to ERI for engineering for NJEIT Program Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements in the amount of $75,000.

Resolution 2013-232, awarding contract to MMC for installation of Wastewater Treatment Plant blower in the amount of $10,940.

Resolution 2013-233, awarding contract to MMC for installation of VFD controls at Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of $1,890.00.

Resolution 2013-234, authorizing advertisement for bids for NJEIT Program improvements to Wastewater Treatment Plant.
