CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

The Borough of Palmyra is accepting applications for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer (CEO).  The CEO is responsible for enforcement of property maintenance codes and related ordinances such as non-compliant conditions on private and public property including unsanitary or potentially dangerous conditions; accumulations of garbage and refuse; and unsightly conditions of property and structures. The CEO is also responsible for proper administration of the Borough’s vacant and abandoned property ordinances. At a minimum the successful applicant will be a licensed NJ Housing Inspector or UCC Building or Fire Inspector. POLICE OFFICER

The Palmyra Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Police Officer. Applicants must be 18 – 35 years of age and be NJ Police Training Commission Certified as a Municipal Police Officer, a SLEO II within their wavier period, or alternate route. Applicants must be citizens of the US, residents of New Jersey and have a valid NJ Driver’s License.

Applications must be picked up at Palmyra Police Headquarters, 20 West Broad Street, Palmyra, NJ 08065, and completed applications must be received no later than May 5, 2016. REGULAR AND SUBSTITUTE CROSSING GUARDS

Interested parties should complete an Employment Application and submit it to the Palmyra Police Department.  Pre-employment medical exam including a physical, hearing, and vision evaluations are required as well as a background check, including a criminal check, and pre-employment drug testing.
