PUBLIC WORKS AND SEWER PLANT SUPERINTENDENT

The Borough is seeking an experienced self-starter to perform all Public Works and Sewer Utility Department Head duties.  The position requires supervision of 8 full-time staff members including a Foreman and a Licensed Sewer Plant Operator, and management of all requirements including but not limited to; plant/facility maintenance, scheduling, road repairs, maintenance of equipment, vehicle/fleet management, purchasing, budgeting including assisting with capital improvement requirements, recycling activities, storm and sewer main repairs, state reporting and solid waste. Must have 5 years management/supervisory experience and possess excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be able to interact effectively with Governing Body, Administrator, Engineering and other professional consultants and the public. Must possess Certified Public Works Manager (CPWM) certification. Sewer & Collection System S-1 & C-1 licenses preferred. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or be able to obtain within 12 months.
