Forget the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey instead! UPDATE: Project Extended!

UPDATE FOR 5/19/2017: The project is now expected to take several weeks longer than anticipated and some roadways around Charles Street School, W. Charles St. in particular, will not be able to be completed until after school closes for the summer on June 16th. W. Charles St. will have to be closed for the improvements, which cannot be completed while school is open. Thanks again for your patience.

Large and small — we’re repairing every pothole in the community! And we’re not just filling ’em all in with cheap cold patch – oh no! For the larger, ornery potholes we’ve hired an expert to saw cut and remove all of the deteriorated asphalt and repair them with hot asphalt for a long-term, quality repair. Total cost: expected to approach $50,000!

Despite what was a relatively moderate winter, our roads inexplicably succumbed to a large number of potholes this season. We’re fixing them now however.
