Former Mayor John “Jack” Casey passes on Sunday, February 24th
Former Mayor Jack Casey passed away on Sunday, February 24th surrounded by family in Florida where he has lived since his retirement.
Jack, a long-time resident of Palmyra, was well known and respected in the community and throughout Burlington County. He was a local icon actually, serving as Mayor of Palmyra from 1984 to 1987, and as State Senator for the 7th Legislative District (District serving Palmyra) from 1994 to 1998. Jack also served in the State Assembly and as Burlington County Treasurer.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 16th at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson where guests will be received from 8:00 AM to 10:55 AM. Christian Mass will be held immediately after at 11:00 AM.
Jack is survived by his wife Pat, children John, Michael, Patti and David, their spouses, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
