DO YOU WANT TO HELP DRIVE HOW ALL OF US
Has your group or organization ever wanted to get more involved, be more widely engaged, and have your collective voices heard and counted? To be a part of the real decision making process where you live, work and volunteer your time? Are you interested in being empowered – and empowering others – to shape the future of your community? Is achieving a sense of belonging, along with strengthening the social, cultural and economic vibrancy and fabric of Palmyra important to you?
LIVE, LEARN AND PLAY IN OUR SHARED HOMETOWN?
Then PLEASE help us HELP you!
The Borough of Palmyra and the Palmyra Improvement Association have partnered on an exciting initiative — Community Heart & Soul — that is intended to do all of that and more.
Community Heart & Soul is a catalyst for positive change in small towns all across America by actively seeking the collective wisdom of all residents, including those whose voices are often missing. Community Heart & Soul brings people together to build stronger, healthier, and more economically vibrant communities. And most importantly, its resident driven model helps build trust while taking into account the unique character of our town and the deep emotional connection of the people who live here – all of us of course. To accomplish this the Borough and PIA are working together to win a $100,000 grant to implement Community Heart & Soul here, in Palmyra, over the next two years. But to get there we need support from local groups and non-profit organizations, and our residents. YOU in other words.
PLEASE CONSIDER SENDING A REPRESENTATIVE FROM YOUR GROUP OR ORGANIZTION TO OUR COMMUNITY WORKSHOP ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH AT 6:30 PM AT THE PALMYRA COMMUNITY CENTER. THERE YOU’LL BE ASKED TO PARTICIPATE IN A SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION AND TO SHARE YOUR INSIGHTS INTO WHAT TRULY MATTERS MOST IN OUR COMMUNITY IN ORDER TO HELP US MAKE THE BEST DECISIONS ABOUT OUR SHARED FUTURE.
PIZZA, SALAD AND BEVERAGES WILL BE PROVIDED.
