Code Enforcement Officer Duties and Responsibilities:
The Code Enforcement Officer enforces the provisions of the Property Maintenance Code.
The Code Enforcement Office will offer assistance with any question or complaint you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
High grass, stagnant water conditions (which breeds mosquitos) or abandoned/junk vehicles represent just a few code enforcement/ property maintenance issues that concern Palmyra residents.
The Borough of Palmyra has adopted the 1996 BOCA, National Property Maintenance Code, to help effectively regulate and provide certain requirements with regard to the health and safety for existing buildings and structures. Copies of this code are available in the construction office for $25.00
It is the goal of the Mayor and Council to improve the standard of living in the borough and produce a healthier and safer place to live. It is the responsibility of every resident and property owner to insure that they are in compliance with all areas of the property maintenance code.
