Summer Programs at the Palmyra Community Center!

Palmyra Community Center Program Board announces summer lineup — for kids of all ages!

Monday Art Lab  Get your hands on real artists materials like watercolor, pastels, clay, sculpting wire, and printmaking. Class will be divided for varying ages and interests.
Instructor: Kate Johnson
Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Dates: June 22, 29 & July 6
Cost: Residents $10 a class, Non-Residents $15
Ages: 7-14

Tuesday Craft Lab  Variety of crafting and fun projects
Instructor: Renee Hoffecker.
Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Dates: July 7 – August 4
Cost: Residents $10 a class, Non-Residents $15
Ages: 7-14

Wednesday Cooking Lab Let’s make and bake – make your own salsa and guacamole, sweet treats, and other fun stuff.
Instructors: Mattie Wentz and Chellie Weiner
Time: 1:00 – 2:45 PM
Dates: July 8 – July 29
Cost: Residents $10 a class, Non-Residents $15
Ages: 7-14

Wednesday Play for Tots  Providing space for free play. Parent attendance is mandatory. Special Note; Music for Tots (10:15am class) will resume in the Fall!

Dates: June 24 to July 29
Cost: Donation for our Food Pantry.
Ages: 2-5

Friday Creative Movement for Tots  Music and dance for the little ones. Parent participation is necessary.

Monday/Tuesday Learn to Play Piano  Group lessons will give beginners of all ages a fun and informal opportunity to learn the basics of playing piano.  Students will learn how to read sheet music, proper technique and music theory.  There are also optional performance opportunities. Keyboards provided.
Instructor:  Mark Brown of Musik Haus Studios in Riverton
Ages 7-11, Monday 6:00 – 7:00 PM or Tuesday 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Ages 12 to Adult, Monday 7:00 -8:00 PM
Dates:  July 6 – August 25
Cost: $40 for 8 weeks

Thursday Wellness Yoga With Katie  Take some time for the mind, body and soul
Time:  7:00 – 8:00 PM
Dates:  Every Thursday through June
Cost:  Residents $5, Non-Residents $7

Wednesday KnitWits Knit, share and learn from one another.

Time: 10:00 – 11 :00 AM

Cost: Donation to our local Food Pantry.

And by the way, check out our Community Garden!  Located behind Borough Hall adjacent to the Community Center.  This small plot of love is waiting for this year’s crops!  The garden is a joint effort of its participants and a great way to meet other gardeners and share each other’s knowledge and tips.
