Borough Council adopts 2014 Budget on April 21st

After the scheduled Public Hearing held during the Regular Borough Council Meeting on Monday, April 21, 2014, Borough Council adopted the 2014 Budget via Resolution 2014-93.  The 2014 Budget was originally introduced on Saturday, March 1st after a morning Budget Work Session.  Please see below for more information.

Details of the 2014 Budget include:

2014 General Appropriations:  $7,078,784.55

Reserve for Uncollected Taxes:  $574,379.80

2014 Total Appropriations (Budget):  $7,653,164.35

2014 Local Purpose Tax Rate:  $1.165 (rate per $100.00).  This is up $0.022 (2.2¢) from 2013.

Percentage increase over 2013:  1.89%

Dollar increase over 2013:  $31.99 for homes assessed at the Borough average of $148,095.25

2014 Sewer Utility Budget:  $1,623,720.00 (same as 2013)

The 2014 Budget is the lowest in 4 years with spending at the lowest point since 2011.
