Borough Ordinances & Resolutions for June 2015

This page is intended to give Borough residents an overview of official actions taken by the Governing Body during June 2015. There were two meetings held this month: the Borough Council Caucus Meeting (Work Session) on Monday, June 1st, and the Regular Borough Council Meeting on Monday, June 15th.

The following Ordinances were Introduced. Public Hearings were scheduled for July 6, 2015 at 6:30 PM.

Ordinance 2015-9: An Ordinance amending Ordinance 2013-14, an Ordinance requiring the inspection, registration and licensing of residential properties in the Borough of Palmyra; and Ordinance 2013-23, an Ordinance amending Ordinance 2013-14. If adopted this Ordinance amends certain Ordinances requiring inspections and registrations of rental properties.

Ordinance 2015-10: An Ordinance amending Ordinance 2013-17, an Ordinance requiring the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy upon the sale of any residential property; and Ordinance 2013-25, an Ordinance amending Ordinance 2013-17. If adopted this Ordinance amends certain Ordinances requiring CO inspections upon the sale of residential properties.

The following Resolutions were Approved. More routine matters were conducted as well.

Resolutions 2015-116, awarding Change Order #1 to Garozzo & Scimeca Construction, Inc. for the Borough Hall Door Replacement Project in the amount of $8000.00.

Resolution 2015-117, approving item of revenue and appropriation be inserted in the 2015 Budget for the NJ Solid Waste FY 2015 Clean Communities Grant in the amount of $16,642.00.

Resolutions 2015-118, authorizing renewal of Knight’s of Columbus 2015/2016 Club (Liquor) License.

Resolution 2015-120, authorizing submission of a Declaratory Judgment to the Courts requesting protection from builder’s remedy lawsuits during Borough’s process to comply with affordable housing obligations.
