Borough Ordinances & Resolutions for May 2014

This page is intended to give Borough residents an overview of official actions taken by the Governing Body during May 2014. There were two meetings held this month; the Borough Council Caucus Meeting (Work Session) on Monday, May 5th and the Borough Council Regular Meeting on Monday, May 19th.

The following Ordinance was Adopted.

Ordinance 2014-04: An Ordinance to provide for and determine the rates of compensation of each employee and officer of the Borough of Palmyra for the years 2014 and 2015. This “Salary Ordinance” provides the ranges of compensation permitted for each employee of the Borough. This is a routine Ordinance adopted every 2 years unless amended.

The following Ordinance was Introduced.

Ordinance 2014-05: An Ordinance amending the Code of the Borough of Palmyra to create the position of Purchasing Agent and establish the duties thereof. This Ordinance officially creates the position of Purchasing Agent, which provides certain benefits when purchasing products and services.

The following Resolutions were Approved. Please note that more routine matters were conducted as well.

Resolution 2014-111, authorizing a grant application to the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission TCDI Program.

Resolution 2014-115, reappointing SLEO II Police Officers Brian Rust, Alex Hubel & Jeffrey Parente.

Resolution 2014-116, amending Resolutions 2014-104 & 2014-110 by reappointing Doretha Jackson as Tax Clerk and Construction Office Technical Assistant at an annual salary of $26,918.00.

Resolution 2014-117, awarding the Sign Installation/Replacement Project contract to J. Fletcher Creamer and Son, Inc. for installation of street signs in the amount of $36,923.00.

Resolution 2014-118, supporting the Palmyra Police Click It or Ticket Program.

Resolution 2014-119, authorizing ERI to perform an outbound survey of Borough-owned property in the amount of $2,000.00.

Resolution 2014-120, awarding a contract to ERI for engineering services for the Borough Hall Door Project in the amount of $16,250.00.

Resolution 2014-122, rejecting all bids due to high prices for In-car (police cars) Camera Recording System.

Resolution 2014-123, awarding a contract to V-COMM, LLC for cell/radio tower consultation.

Resolution 2014-125, requesting assistance from the Burlington County Freeholders with speeding traffic on Cinnaminson Avenue.
