Code Enforcement Officer Duties and Responsibilities:

The Code Enforcement Officer enforces the provisions of the Property Maintenance Code.

High grass, stagnant water conditions (which breed mosquitos), abandoned/junk vehicles, and trash, leaves and brush/limbs placed at the curb before scheduled collection times, represent just a few of the code enforcement/property maintenance issues that concern Palmyra residents.

The Borough of Palmyra has adopted the 1996 BOCA, National Property Maintenance Code, to help effectively regulate and provide certain requirements with regard to the health and safety for existing buildings and structures. Copies of this code are available in the construction office for $25.00 or can be reviewed by selecting the link below:

It is the goal of the Mayor and Council to improve the standard of living in the borough and produce a healthier and safer place to live. It is the responsibility of every resident and property owner to insure that they are in compliance with all areas of the property maintenance code.

REMINDER: BULK TRASH is collected curbside Mondays by zone.  Only two bulk items allowed per month.  Schedule your appointment only or by calling 856-829-8215 or scheduling on the app.  Bulk should be placed at the curb no sooner than 5:00 PM the day before (Sunday).
