NWS: Winter Storm Advisory for January 6-7 Snow Storm

A period of snow is expected to bring widespread accumulating snowfall to the region tonight through Friday morning with most snow falling between 1 AM and 7 AM.
This will impact travel particularly during the Friday morning commute.
Storm total snowfall of 2 to 5 inches is expected across much of the region.
A narrow band of heavy snow may setup with amounts of up to 6 inches. The highest probability for this being south and east of the I-95 corridor.
Within the narrow band, snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour are possible.
