The oldest volunteer squad in the Nation, serving since 1921.
The Palmyra Ambulance Association (DBA: Palmyra/Cinnaminson/Riverton EMS), was formed in 1921 and has the distinction of being the “Oldest Volunteer Squad” in the nation. The squad is a non-profit organization and is not part of any fire district or fire department. We depend on your generosity during our fund drive.
We offer free emergency medical service to the tri-boro community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone 15 years of age or older is eligible to become a member. Free training is provided, all we ask is that you have the desire to help your neighbors and the squad. We have a “Riding” status that requires training. The riding members are the EMTs you see on the streets. We also have an “Associate” status for those who do not wish to ride. Our Associate members help with the vital behind-the-scene jobs that keep the squad running. No matter what type of membership you desire, you will be helping both your neighbors and the squad.
