Palmyra has the capability of using Cinnaminson Emergency Advisory Radio, Channel 1620am. You can access this station 24/7 with constant local weather updates. In an emergency,Palmyra will also use the radio station to broadcast specific information for the residents.

 

     Outdoor Sirens

Palmyra has 4 outdoor sirens. They are used in an emergency also for alert purposes. The sirens will alert a tone that will sound for 15 seconds repeatedly for 5 minutes.

If you hear the siren sounding please do the following:

• Stop what you are doing

• Stay Calm

• Turn your radio onto 1620am Cinnaminson Radio

• Look on the Borough website

• Avoid using the telephone. Do not call 9-1-1- unless you have a life-threathing emergency.
